Spencer Reservoir


A cold wind bites across the water closing the skim ice around the resting waterfowl.  The first snows sift through the brittle air, dusting the southern flanks of the Owyhees as winter slips into the high country.

    A picturesque Great Basin moment. You caught it--the pelicans, the snow on the mountains.

    Not pelicans....perhaps swans.
